Additional Information
This young skipper is one of the new breed of Danish match-racing sailors, who have taken the world scene by storm. In 2001-’02 he joined the Swedish Match Tour full time. One year later he won the Tour Championship and pocketed a $60,000 bonus as the youngest skipper to ever win the tour.

Like so many Scandinavians, Radich started sailing with his family and says he spent his first birthday on his parent’s boat. He started his competitive sailing career as a child in the Optimist dinghy, a popular trainer for youth sailors around the world.

In 1996 he started match-racing and placed fourth at the Danish National Championship, his first major match-race regatta.

Radich entertained thoughts of forming a Soling campaign for the 2004 Athens Olympics for awhile, but instead focused on the Swedish Match Tour. It was a worthwhile decision when he won the Tour Championship.

He is a graduate of the University of Copenhagen with a degree in sport and social science.
