The 2006 Danish Open featured one of the closest finishes on the Tour all year. In the fifth and deciding semifinal match between between Jesper Bank (left) and Dean Barker, Bank won by gnat’s whisker. If there was a half second between them the world atomic clock will have to be recalibrated. For Barker it was another frustrating defeat. For Bank it was a lucrative win. He went on to capture the 9th Danish Open and became just the third different winner of the event that has been featured in all six Tour seasons. Bank also gained a personal measure of revenge. He lost the Danish Open final in 2001 and 2003.
