Summary
The Allianz Cup is the newest event to join the World Match Racing Tour calendar. Racing will be held on San Francisco Bay in front of the St. Francis Yacht Club, affording spectators a great chance to watch world class sailing.
The field is shaping up to be one of the best of the young Tour season with skippers such as Chris Dickson (NZL), BMW ORACLE Racing, Ed Baird (USA), Alinghi, Peter Holmberg (ISV), Alinghi, and Dean Barker (NZL), Emirates Team New Zealand already having accepted invitations. The event features a $100,000 prize purse with $25,000 slated for the champion.
