Additional Information
Seb Col started sailing at the age of one when he lived aboard a boat with his parents, cruising the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts until age nine. He started racing at age 10, starting in dinghys, then 420's and Lasers. From where he lived in Sete, he watched the training and development of the French America's Cup teams nearby in 1986 and 1992, where he got his first exposure to match race sailing.
He started his own match racing in 1996 as part of the youth match race programme at YC Sete under the support of that club and Francoise Pascal. Seb has received coaching assistance from Marc Bouet in a match race training programme supported by the French Sailing Federation (FFV). Seb has now joined the Yacht Club de la Pointe Rouge in Marseille, one of the most famous yacht clubs for match racing in France.
