Additional Information
Torvar is a product of Australia and New Zealand youth match racing.

Torvar came from a non sailing family. He tried sailing like any other sport, once started never looked back. Torvar became a champion of many youth dinghy classes: Mirror Junior world champion, Australian Youth 420 champion, Laser Youth Champion. Also competing competively in 505's and 49ers.

At the age of 15 was introduced to Match Racing which soon turned Torvar's focus from fleet racing. In 2004 Torvar won his first International Youth Match Racing Regatta. By 2006 he had won almost all Australian and New Zealand Youth International MR Events. 2007 saw Torvar and Mirsky Racing Team (MRT) make their stamp on the Open Match Racing circuit. Winning their first grade 1 and many other notable results.

Torvar living in the same town as Peter Gilmour has had an insight into Peter's successful team. MRT runs in a similar way to Peter's and shows a maturity beyond their age.

2008 is shaping up to be a big year for Mirsky Racing Team (MRT).
