Skippers Intro Page
Skippers on the World Match Racing Tour are among the most successful sailors in the world. Their combined resumes include three America’s Cup victories, more than 12 match-racing world championships, a dozen Olympic medals, and countless hemispheric, continental and regional championships.
They compete on the World Tour because it provides challenging competition. The Tour’s competitive nature is highlighted by the fact that there have been five different Tour champions in its first five years. They are the best match-racers in the world, and they make the World Tour the best professional sailing series in the world.
